Jobs one after the other (over the last 4 years)
The Department of Employment and Labour doesn't just look at your most recent job — it calculates your credit days using your full work and contribution history over the last 4 years.
- You need a completed, signed Form UI-19 from every employer you worked for during those 4 years.
- If an old employer never submitted your records, they're still legally required to complete a UI-19 for you so you don't lose credit days.
Jobs at the same time (concurrently)
If you had more than one job at once — common for domestic workers — and you lose one of them (or that employer passes away), you can claim UIF for that specific loss of income, even while you keep working your other job(s).
