Warning signs by subsection
Road layout, then direction of movement, then symbolic.
Warning layout
- A crossroad is ahead. Approach cautiously. Look carefully and be ready to stop if cross traffic requires it.
Warning movement
- This is the right of way sign. You have right of way at the intersection ahead, but check that other traffic is actually giving way.
- Hidden entrances join the road ahead, first from the left, then from the right. Be alert for vehicles entering.
- A sharp curve to the left is ahead. Slow down well before you reach it.
Warning symbolic
- A marked pedestrian crossing is ahead. Slow down. Be ready to stop and never overtake a vehicle that has stopped at the crossing.
- The road ahead narrows from both sides. Slow down. Oncoming vehicles will pass close to you.
- The car dropping into water warns that the road ends at a jetty or riverbank ahead. Slow down so you can stop in time.
- The car with skid marks warns that the road ahead is slippery when wet. Slow down and avoid sudden braking or steering.
